I graduated from Long Island University where I received a pharmacy degree, and I was certified as a Geriatric Consultant Pharmacist.
In the year 2000 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and after my second child was born, my symptoms came back with a vengeance. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and the symptoms were so severe that I felt completely debilitated.
